A. The Employee Satisfaction Snapshot is a tested methodology developed to quickly and accurately measuring employee satisfaction within a company.  The Snapshot draws on expertise and automation successfully used in employee satisfaction campaigns throughout the United States and Canada.

Q. Is the Employee Satisfaction Snapshot affordable?

A. Yes, the total package from initial survey design to data export is priced for approximately $6,000.

Q. How long does the survey process take?
[TOP]
A. The average time for the complete process: survey design, conducting the survey and data reporting is 30 days. A typical campaign will go from idea to results in 30 days.

Q. What areas of employee satisfaction are assessed?

A. Some categories include Management roles, Company communication, corporate culture, the employee’s role, and much more.

Q. How many questions is a typical survey?
[TOP]
A. A typical survey is about 90 questions, however the survey can be customized to meet the needs of your company. You do have the option to choose our short version which contains about 45 questions.

Q. What types of survey questions do you use?
[TOP]
A. The SNAPSHOT is professionally designed to effectively gather employee opinions. Our methodology includes the following types of questions:
  • Level of Agreement questions - Respondents are asked to indicate the degree to which they agree or disagree with statements. Scale 0-4.

  • Open Ended questions - Respondents have the opportunity to address concerns not covered in the survey questions and to help clarify their position on certain issues.

  • Demographic questions - Segments the data during the analysis of data

Q. Do you recommend collecting employee demographic information? [TOP]
A. We do recommend collecting demographic data. The demographic information that is gathered will help segment the data for analysis and action planning purposes. However, our clients have the option to customize what demographic information they want to collect or to bypass demographics all together. 

Q. How are survey results collected? [TOP]

A. The respondents will complete customized web-based surveys by clicking on an email notification from your company contact (typically the Dir of HR or your CEO). The survey can be completed from any Internet enabled personal computer.

Q. How will my company get the results? [TOP]

A. During the survey campaign, survey responses are stored on our secured server. To keep you informed on how many employees are participating in your campaign, you will receive a response count report at least twice a week. At the end of your survey campaign, you will receive standard summary reporting for each completed survey campaign. You will also get an export data file containing all results. 

Q. How is anonymity ensured? [TOP]
A. Employees do not provide their names. They only record customizable demographic information.  Their responses are submitted directly to HCTech Consulting for data gathering. 

 Q. What happens if the response rate is low? [TOP]
A. Response rate is closely monitored and reminder messages can be sent to encourage people to complete the survey.

  • Ease of use. Employees who have access to the internet  can access the survey at work, home, or on the road.

     Management  likes online surveys because:

  • Higher response rates. Online surveys have proven to produce a higher response then the traditional paper methods.
